Costa Victoria has made its maiden call to Hong Kong.
The 2,394-passenger capacity cruise ship is being deployed to Asia for the first time and will offer 47 sailings (including the repositioning cruises), including a range of four- to seven-night sailings to destinations including Japan and Korea from its homeport in Shanghai.
“We are thrilled to introduce Costa Victoria to the Asian market and strongly believe in the region’s long-term potential. With the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal 2013 opening, we will continue to develop and strive to make cruising the number one vacation choice for travellers,” said Buhdy Bok, Costa’s Vice President of Pacific Asia & China.
An event welcoming Costa Victoria to Hong Kong was attended by Luca Fraticelli, Consul of Italian Consulate General in Hong Kong, Philip Yung, Commissioner for Tourism, Gilly Wong, the HKTB’s General Manager of MICE & Cruise, and Francis Liu, Director of Marine, along with travel agents and other guests.

To pave the way for the opening of the new cruise terminal in Hong Kong in 2013, the HKTB will continue to collaborate closely with the Hong Kong SAR government and our cruise industry partners, which include Costa Cruises, to step up promotion of cruise tourism, as well as to encourage cruise companies to choose Hong Kong as one of the stops in their itineraries.”
