Dubai International charts 6.3 million pax in February

Dubai International has had a steady flow of passenger traffic and recently registered over 6.3 million passengers for February 2016.
As per the latest traffic report issued by operator Dubai Airports, passenger traffic reached 6,383,544 in February 2016, up 6.9% from 5,973,727 registered during 2015. This brings total year to date passenger traffic at Dubai International to 13,711,181, an increase of 6.5% from the first two months of 2015.
Eastern Europe was the fastest expanding market at 14.6%, followed by the Indian subcontinent at 11.5%, North America at 10.7% and the GCC at 7.9%. India remained the top destination country in February with a total of 885,298 passengers, followed by Saudi Arabia with 485,570 passengers and the UK at 460,279 passengers. London topped the list of destination cities, followed by Doha and Mumbai.
Aircraft movements at Dubai International totalled 32,975 during the month under review, compared to 31,012 movements recorded in February 2015, up 6.3%.
