Hilton has launched its upscale Curio Collection in the Asia Pacific region, with the opening of a new hotel near Sanya, the Chinese beach resort.
The new Sanya Yazhou Bay Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, has joined the global portfolio of more than 35 high-end hotels and resorts around the world, the majority of which are in the US. The opening also extends Hilton’s presence in China, which recently reached the 100-hotel mark.
“Over the years, Hilton’s footprint has strengthened across China, allowing us to better cater to both business and leisure travellers,” said Qian Jin, the company’s area president for Greater China & Mongolia.
“We recently celebrated the opening of our 100th hotel in China, and the opening of our first Curio Collection property marks yet another exciting milestone in our Hilton China story, which includes more than 270 hotels in the pipeline.”
Located 35km from Sanya city centre and with direct access to the beach, Sanya Yazhou Bay Resort offers 267 rooms and suites, five F&B outlets, a 2,000m² swimming pool and 2,000m² of conference and banqueting space.
Meanwhile, Hilton has further expanded its Chinese portfolio with the opening of a new DoubleTree hotel in Shenzhen. Located in the city’s Longhua New District, 31km from Shenzhen’s Bao’an International Airport, DoubleTree by Hilton Shenzhen Longhua offers 238 rooms and suites, four F&B outlets and 1,630m² function space. It becomes the fourth DoubleTree hotel in Shenzhen.
