Hilton Hotel’s New Zealand south island property, Hilton Queenstown, has officially reopened as Hilton Queensland Resort & Spa.
The hotel, which is one of four properties Hilton currently owns in New Zealand, is the only one to have a spa onsite.
“We felt somewhat confined by the original name, which didn’t quite communicate the expansiveness of the guest experience here,” said Andrew Nisbet, general manager. “As a resort and spa, we’re really embracing this destination as a place to experience some of the greatest natural wonders and most exhilarating pursuits available in all New Zealand.
Queenstown is located at the foot of the Remarkables Mountains – a hotspot for winter sports enthusiasts with the new spa being designed by local designer Chan Andreassend to a brief of looking like a property in the Alps.
Earlier in the month we reported on Hilton signing its first property in Lanzhou.
