Hilton has opened a new resort in a UNESCO-listed scenic region of China.

The new Hilton Sanqingshan Resort is located in Mount Sanqing National Park, Jiangxi province, which was inscribed on the World Heritage list in 2008. The project becomes the first and only internationally-branded resort in the area.

“The Sanqing mountains… are one of China’s premier natural attractions,” said Sean Wooden, vice president of brand management for Hilton Asia Pacific. “With the opening of Hilton Sanqingshan Resort, we are poised to deliver an exceptional resort experience for guests from China and around the world seeking new destinations for MICE events, family vacations and weekend getaways.”

Hilton Sanqingshan Resort is located 300 metres from the Mount Sanqing National Park ticket office and cable car station. The hotel features 372 rooms and suites overlooking the mountains, plus three restaurants, a heated indoor pool, 24-hour fitness centre, spa, a games room, karaoke rooms and a 5D cinema.

There is also 1,600m² of conference and banqueting space, including a 750m² ballroom, seven function rooms and an outdoor event terrace.

“With tourism on the rise to Jiangxi Province, it was a natural decision to extend the footprint of our flagship brand to this prime resort location,” said Bruce McKenzie, Hilton’s senior vice president of operations for Hilton Greater China & Mongolia.

Hilton Worldwide now operates more than 80 hotels in China, including 38 under the upscale Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.
