Recognising the importance of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) region, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has announced the launch of an Arabic website – DiscoverHongKong.com. The website offers varied information on visiting Hong Kong as well as providing more tailored information for Arabic visitors.
As part of the features, users can now use the interactive itinerary planner to plan their trip to Hong Kong. Anthony Lau, executive director of the HKTB, said: “The new interface of our website in Arabic, provides greater convenience for our growing number of visitors from the GCC, and it also ties in our strategy in increasing our promotional effort in new markets.”
The GCC market is a key market for Hong Kong, and in addition to the Arabic website, HKTB is carrying out a number of awareness initiatives across the region. These include working with major travel agents in the region, distributing a tailor-made Arabic family guide book, and a consumer promotion event to showcase the dynamic aspects of this exciting destination.
