Singapore Airlines and the Lufthansa Group have announced a series of new Asian codeshare flights.

The two companies formed a commercial joint venture in November 2015 which has already seen SIA codeshare on 20 routes operated by Lufthansa and SWISS from their hubs in Munich and Zurich. And now, the two European carriers will start codesharing on a series of SIA-operated flights from Singapore.

Under the expanded agreement, Lufthansa passengers flying from Frankfurt to Singapore will be able to connect with SIA to Bali and Jakarta. And SWISS passengers flying from Zurich will be offered connections to Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Auckland and Christchurch.

All journeys will be offered on a single e-ticket and baggage will be transferred through to the final destination. Lufthansa, SWISS and SIA are all members of the Star Alliance.
