Oakwood has unveiled plans to open its first serviced residence in Hyderabad.

Set to welcome its first guests in June 2015, the Oakwood Residence Kapil Hyderabad will be located in the IT suburb of Gachibowli, 30 minutes’ drive from Hyderabad International Airport and the city centre.

The property will feature 158 fully-furnished serviced apartments, all with kitchens and Wi-Fi. Six of the units will be duplex apartments. Facilities at the new Oakwood will include a fitness centre, swimming pool and meeting facilities.

“We are truly excited to open another Oakwood-branded property in a new city in the Indian market,” said Dean Schreiber, managing director of Oakwood Asia Pacific.

“Hyderabad is ranked the second-best city for doing business in India, and the fourth-best city to live… in India. Because of its strategic location, the city has grown quickly into a major business and IT hub, where we are confident that we will provide yet another world-class accommodation option for our customers.”

Hoshang Garivala has been named general manager of Oakwood Residence Kapil Hyderabad, moving from his previous role as GM of the two Oakwood properties in Pune.

Oakwood Residence Kapil Hyderabad will become the company’s sixth property in India and its 28th in Asia. Hyderabad marks a new Indian destination for Oakwood, which currently operates two serviced residences in Pune, two in Bengaluru and one in Mumbai.
