Singapore Airlines and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) are to expand their current codeshare agreement, adding destinations in Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand to the current roster.
The deal now incorporates services from Copenhagen to Alesund, Bergen, Stavanger and Trondheim in Norway; Gothenburg in Sweden; Aalborg, Aarhus and Bilund in Denmark; and Turku in Finland.
The European airline will now be able to codeshare Singapore numbered flights from Singapore to Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney in Australia; Auckland in New Zealand; Bali and Jakarta in Indonesia; and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
“This codeshare expansion is an important step in the deepening of our cooperation with SAS. We are pleased to be able to offer our customers greater access to destinations in Scandinavia through our partnership with SAS,” said SIA acting senior vice president marketing planning, Lee Wen Fen.
The two companies originally started the codeshare agreement in 2010.
Travel Daily Asia reported earlier in the year that the firms had signed a memorandum of understanding, which covered routes between Singapore and Scandinavia.
