Singapore Airlines has unveiled its new SilverKris Lounge at London Heathrow Airport‘s new Terminal 2.
The airline moved into T2 last year, along with its fellow Star Alliance members. And it has now introduced a new lounge for first and business class passengers, based on a new design concept that aims to incorporate traditional Singaporean elements.
“Our new SilverKris Lounge at Heathrow brings Ong&Ong’s ‘home away from home’ concept to the UK and Europe for the first time. We are already renowned for providing a warm, authentic and personalised service in the air and our new London lounge will help us deliver this in new ways on the ground too. We believe the familiar, homely environment will be hugely well received by our customers,” said Wilson Yong, SIA’s general manager for the UK & Ireland.
The new lounge will offer a total of 208 seats, with separate areas for first and business class passengers. Facilities include separate dining and living areas, “productivity pods”, a new range of armchairs, and a gallery area with artworks.
The F&B will feature a Singaporean theme, including traditional dishes like laksa and Hainanese chicken rice, alongside more traditional English fare.
As well as SIA’s premium passengers, the lounge will be available for first and business class passengers travelling on other Star Alliance airlines, members of SIA’s KrisFlyer FFP and Star Alliance Gold customers.
