Singapore Airlines (SIA) will fly to Tokyo five times a day next year, with the launch of a new service to the Japanese capital’s Haneda Airport.
Effective 30 March 2014, the airline will launch a third daily flight to Haneda. Along with SIA’s twice daily flights to Tokyo Narita Airport, this extra service will raise the airline’s total frequency to the Japanese capital to five flights per day.
Operated using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft, the new service will depart Singapore’s Changi Airport at 0800 and arrive in Tokyo at 1600. The return flight will leave Haneda at 1705, getting back into Singapore at 2305. This new morning departure will complement the existing afternoon (1355) and night-time (2230) flights from Changi.
With the new service, SIA will operate a total of 63 weekly flights to Japan. In addition to Tokyo, the airline operates daily to both Fukuoka and Nagoya, and twice daily to Osaka.
