Yas Island is keen to boost its India presence.
The destination management company will be participating at the South Asian Travel and Tourism Exhibition (SATTE) in New Delhi.
As per statistics, India is Abu Dhabi‘s most popular international source market, with 207,136 visitors checking into local hotels up till November. This marks a 31% increase over the same period the year before.
Clive Dwyer, director, Destination Management, Yas Island said: “Over the years, our deep connection with India has been growing from strength to strength. For 2015, we anticipate that as a year-round destination Yas Island will play host to some of India’s key business events, including the summer months.”
The destination has over 2,500 rooms (three-star to five-star) across seven international hotels, with event spaces of various sizes and layouts.
In 2014, SATTE witnessed response from over 640 exhibitors across 35 countries, airlines, destination management companies, hotels and travel, tourism and hospitality suppliers.
