Formula One star Jenson Button took part in the official launch of British Airways‘ new Singapore lounge this week.
The former world champion became one the first customers to use the facility, which is located in Terminal 1 of Changi Airport. The new lounge features the airline’s first ever Concorde Bar – a new area exclusive to first class passengers.
“Our new lounge caters to customers, like Jenson, who live life in the fast lane. It is specially-designed to be an oasis of calm and tasteful luxury, enabling travellers to work or unwind in a relaxing environment,” said Robert Williams, BA’s head of Asia Pacific sales.
The main lounge offers buffet counters, free high-speed Wi-Fi, two desktop computers and a wireless printer, plus baggage storage facilities, TVs, bathrooms, baby changing facilities and showers. It is decorated with artwork from Singaporean and British artists.
The opening of the Singapore lounge is the latest stage in the airline’s SG$11 billion (US$7.8bn) investment to improve its passenger experience.
