British Airways announces winter schedule

British Airways has announced it will increase capacity to Scotland by 32% in its winter schedule, with also sees other new domestic, European and long-haul routes.
The carrier will commence flights between London City and Aberdeen on 24 September, with two extra daily flights on its services from Heathrow to Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
In addition, the carrier’s acquisition of bmi has enabled it to launch flights between Heathrow and Leeds Bradford (form 9 December) and between Heathrow and Belfast, which will be bumped up to a daily service on 28 October. A new London City to Isle of Man route has also been launched recently.
Further afield, BA will commence its flights to Seoul from Heathrow on 2 December, as well as its thrice weekly service from Gatwick to Las Vegas from 29 October. In Europe, its Heathrow-Zagreb route will operate daily from 9 December; London City-Venice will run six times a week from 17 September and a thrice daily service between Gatwick and Barcelona will start on 23 February 2013.
“bmi’s integration into British Airways is really enabling us to grow our network as we promised, giving customers more flights to destinations we know they want to fly to,” said Keith Williams, CEO of British Airways on the new schedule. “We’re focusing on new routes such as Seoul, Leeds Bradford and Zagreb, more flights to popular destinations and creating more connections for the UK regions to our global network of flying”.
