British Airways will unveil a new advertisement during the England vs Moldova match tonight.
The new advert shows the people that work for the airline and a ‘behind the scenes’ look at what it takes to get a flight in the air. The airline has estimated it takes 96 people across 18 departments and 11 external suppliers to get one passenger on a flight, from cabin crew to the smoker in Gloucestershire that supplies its fish pies.
The new advert ends on an extension of BA’s strapline, ‘To Fly. To Serve. Today. Tomorrow.’ and showcases the airline’s mobile boarding passes, digital bag tags and new Airbus A380 aircraft.
A preview will be shown on the airline’s Facebook page from 11am today and will run up to October on television, cinema, press, digital, outdoor media and social media.

“We wanted to show travel and innovation at its best – the people behind the scenes, the attention to detail, our engineering prowess and the care and expertise to get 100,000 people in the air every day. It is beautifully crafted with a light-hearted tone and proudly features real people from around the airline,” said Abigail Comber, BA’s head of marketing on the campaign.
The campaign will run in the UK as well as other markets such as the USA and India for the first time in seven years.
