Mark Warner Holidays has seen its strongest summer since 2006, it has announced.

The tour operator has carried 5,000 more passengers this summer to 27,000 with a smaller number of resorts and new British Airways flights. The BA services will be extended to all eight of its resorts next year.

“2012 has proved a very good year for us, on the back of our strategy to increase our quality offering such as the opening of our new five star resort in Rhodes in June, as well as continuing to engage more with the travel trade through a targeted sales and marketing plan,” said Tim Locke, head of marketing at Mark Warner.

“Every single one of our resorts next year will be served by a BA flight, as our current routes served by the airline achieve unprecedented customer approval rates, so we’ve negotiated to get more of the airline into our programme.  We are confident that this will further secure higher revenue yields for next year,” he added.
