British Airways has appointed Chris Rankin as its new head of consumer sales, starting on 3 September.
Rankin joins the airline from Air New Zealand, where he was head of sales and marketing development. Other previous roles include general manager at Qantas Holidays and running Cruise 1st in Australia.
He will now be responsible for British Airways’ leisure sales revenue in the UK and Ireland, working with trade associations and partners, as well as leading tactical marketing activity.
Rankin succeeds the role from Simon Brooks, who has become senior vice president of sales for North America.
