British Airways is to takeover the code and flight number for nine bmi destinations later this month.
From 23 May BA will adopt the return routes from Heathrow to Bergen, Basel, Nice, Vienna, Stavanger, Hanover, Agadir, Marrakech and Casablanca, which will operate as usual. BA said it has already advised travel agencies on the changes and all BA policies relating to baggage allowance, check-in times and special circumstances will apply to the coded flights.
Further routes are to be changed in the coming weeks, with BA gradually spreading its style across the exterior and interior of bmi’s fleet. BA plans to integrate bmi fully for the start of the winter season, with all bookings from today taken through BA.
